AG 30 TRIAL (Polyacrylamide)

|
The Trial
Due to the ongoing pressures on the lower lake system we need to look at way's to maximise the avalible water.
This trial has been organised in conjunction with
Bio Central Laboratories
IPV
Davidsons Viticulture
and the grower.
The trial is to show the benifits of the use of PAM's (Polyacrylamides) to help in soil water retention.

The Process
First stage
We have installed a Sentek Enviroscan Plus moisture probe more info... This will monitor the soil moisture level, we have set it to read every 10 minutes and upload to the web every 2 hrs.
Using the required software Irrimax 7.1 we can check to current status of the soil moisture every 2 hrs.
Second stage -
The probe will sit in location for 3 weeks with no intervention, the intention is to allow the probe to read soil moisture in relation to normal rainfall.
Third stage -
We will apply the prescribed application of AG30 - via the fertigation system - this will deliver the required dose of AG30 to the vineyard.
Fourth stage -
We will monitor further 3 weeks to see what change the application makes in the infiltration rate and retention of water in the soil profile.

Current Status
We will update the most current moisture graph every couple of days, so check back and see what is happening.
