Sentek - Moisture Sensors
Some History
Sentek Pty Ltd was founded in 1991 by a number of people, including Peter Buss. Peter Buss still works at Sentek as Manager of Agronomic R&D. Today Sentek prides itself on working closely with the end user through its global distribution network. Peter Buss and his team are very hands on in the development of new products as well as the continual improvement of existing products.
In conjunction with IPV and the use of spectral imaging, the optimum placement of the sensors can be determined.
The range of products - from the Diviner (Single Point - Manual collection) to the PLUS (Continuous - Near real time - Web based system) allows the grower maximum flexibility.
The introduction of the SoluSampler (Developed by Tappis Biswas of SARDI) allows growers to retrieve a solution sample from the active root zone.
The SOLO has added another dimension by affording the benefit of continuous monitoring with minimal hardware.

Enviroscan
 EnviroSCAN Plus also has the ability to continuously track fertiliser/salinity data through the use of the TriSCAN sensor. EnviroSCAN Plus can utilise GPRS or 1X communication to send soil water and fertiliser/salinity data from the probe to the users PC via the Internet.
With the Addition of Irrimax 7.1 consultants can provide their clients with direct access via the web to their soil moisture data.
